At Lustre Kitchen and Dining we want you to feel like you are going to a friend’s house for dinner... not in the sense that we want to hear about your child’s achievements or about the new renovations you are working on... - more in the sense that the menu is made up on the day and all you have to do is turn up and we will have everything prepared.
We offer three tasting menus that evolve every day based on the ingredients we have from our local farmers, producers and suppliers.
“The Lustrous Potluck”; Our signature degustation style menu and the best way to try a wide range of dishes in a casual formatting. We prepare an orchestra of surprise dishes, tasters and interesting items to showcase the bounty of the day!
“A Bit of a tasting” menu; a “4-Course” style dinner - a few less courses and less of the fussing around, but all of the love and care!
“The Illuminati”; A fully immersive surprise menu and drinks matching. Just like a secret society of people who worship “the light” - except in this case “the light” is coming in to Lustre Kitchen and Dining for dinner. All you need to do is turn up, sit down and we will do the rest. We will play games with your palate, experiment on you and see how far we can push this thing called “Dinner” - but all in a good way of course...
Otherwise, we offer a small but thoughtful à la carte menu, based on our tasting menu dishes, designed to share and pass around.
We work very closely (almost too closely) with our growers/farmers/suppliers/producers and support those that share our values of sustainable practices, animal welfare, protecting our oceans and generally realising that in a literally existential way, our existence is merely a literal... metaphorical... blink of an eye compared with the vastness of space and time... or something... so whilst we are here we should do the right thing.
